Concierge Nursing FAQ
What is a Concierge Nurse?
Just like in the hospital, we perform duties within our professional nursing license. As registered nurses, we can do almost anything a hospital nurse can do within the setting and limitations of your home/hotel/office, keeping in mind there is no doctor present. With your doctor’s order, LanteRN Nurses can assess if something isn’t quite right, inspect and treat your wounds, drains, and vascular access device, administer your medications and/or injections, and more. RNs can troubleshoot and operate your home IV pump, wound vac, and other medical equipment. Best of all, a concierge nurse can properly assess your barriers to healing, connect you with resources and be your advocate to ensure timely care and appropriate follow-through.
What makes a concierge nurse different from a traditional home health nurse?
Home health nurses operate under the orders for home health that is approved by the patient’s insurance. This can limit services offered and the amount of time they can spend with the client. LanteRN nurses operate independently from insurance to ensure comprehensive care and are able to spend as much time with the client as needed while also being available during “after hours” for urgent questions or concerns.
Can’t my family or friends help me with all this?
That entirely depends! If you have a loved one who is an experienced nurse willing to help you, then yes! However, oftentimes patients like to recover discreetly. If they are having concerns or complications, they may be hesitant to reach out for help from friends and family for fear of “being a bother” or not wanting to know some intimate details of their health. This can be dangerous and delay intervention when really needed! Having a LanteRN nurse ensures that the patient’s needs are being met and nothing is downplayed or overlooked.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the 3 northern counties in Idaho; Boundary, Bonner & Kootenai.
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance, and that’s a good thing! A concierge nurse can provide the care you need in a way that benefits you the most. We get to spend ample time with you addressing any and all concerns. We are not limited by the constraints of the insurance agencies and what services are “authorized”. We get to just care for you!
Do you accept FSA/HSA debit cards?
Yes! Nursing services are eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) and health reimbursement arrangement (HRA).
What is your pricing?
LHC offers packages, a month-to-month subscription or hourly rates. Packages and subscriptions require a 25% non-refundable deposit upon contract agreement and payment in full by the date of service. We will put together a highly competitive exclusive package to meet your needs.
